The defendant forced his way into a neighbor's flat and stabbed him. He was convicted of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Two psychiatrists gave evidence that the defendant was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia and had hallucinations. The psychiatrists were aware that the defendant knew what her was doing and that it was legally wrong. One psychiatrist thought that the defendant did not consider what he had done was morally wrong.
