R v Clegg (1995)

The defendant worked in Northern Ireland as a soldier. He was on duty at a checkpoint when a car failed to stop and the defendant shouted at the driver. The defendant fired four shots at the car. One of the passengers in the car was killed by one of the shots. Due to the evidence stating that the car was 50 yards past the check point by the time he fired the shots, the defendant was convicted of murder.
