Nestle had put out an offer that if any person sent 3 chocolate bar wrappers in and a postal order of 1 shilling 6d they would send them a record. Although on receipt the wrappers were disposed of. Holders of the copyright, in this case Chappell, sued in order to obtain royalties from each record given away.
