A son and his wife lived in his mothers house. In the woman’s will it stated that upon her death the house would be inherited by the son and three other siblings. Whilst the son and his wife were living together the wife had made considerable payments for repairs and improvements to the property. The mother who owned the property then made the four children sign an agreement that stated to reimburse the daughter in law out of her estate. However when the mother died the children refused to keep this promise, therefore the wife of the son sued to enforce the agreement.
